What to Expect & What’s Offered in our Outpatient Program

We offer Outpatient Programming (OP) that is designed for two types of patients

  1. Individuals who have completed inpatient rehabilitation or a partial hospitalization program, yet who can still benefit from a step-down level of care before returning home.

  2. Individuals whose treatment needs can be met at a treatment level that is less intensive than inpatient rehabilitation or PHP. Typically, these patients demonstrate the ability to maintain clean drug screens outside a 24-hour supervised setting.

Patients in our OP program will receive less-intensive services and have much more free time thus allowing them to learn to self-manage their own care. A caseworker will help patients identify barriers to self-management of care and help them overcome them. Each treatment day features three hours of therapy. This stage of treatment focuses a lot on aftercare planning.

The discharge planning process begins the day that a patient enters OP treatment. By the time the patient has completed treatment, he or she will have a comprehensive plan that identifies the resources that will support his or her continued recovery and will have demonstrated an ability to self-manage their own care enabling them to enjoy long-term recovery.

All treatment that is provided through our OP is based on the principles and practices of the 12-Step recovery model and is implemented according to best-practice modalities with an emphasis on personal growth and recovery.

The focus areas of OP services include coping skills, stress management, and relapse prevention. Treatment is inclusive and does not focus on specific substances; however, the specific substance or substances that an individual had been abusing will be a focal point on his or her individual treatment plan.

Treatment is provided by doctors, nurses, state licensed clinical counselors and adult peer support specialists all specializing in the treatment of substance abuse and mental health.

Our treatment model grew from a need for structured, evidence-based treatment for clients who are dependent on drugs or alcohol. Many of them suffer from co-occurring mental health disorders. Our comprehensive package provides substance abuse treatment professionals with an outpatient treatment model for patients and their families.
